Burning Tips

Do not trim wick prior to initial use, but trim wick to 1/4 inch prior to each subsequent use.

IMPORTANT! Allow candle to burn long enough until melted wax forms a pool about 1/4 inch deep. This will help the candle burn down evenly. If burned frequently for short periods, a hole will form down the center.

Even while candle is burning, keep wick trimmed to 1/4 inch to reduce smoking.

Do not leave candle under ceiling fans, in front of air conditioners, under vents or in breezy or heavy traffic areas. If the flame flickers too much, the candle will not burn down evenly.

Extinguish candle by either putting lid on over container or by using a toothpick (or similar object) to push lit wick down into melted wax and immediately pull back to upright position. These methods will eliminate smoky carbon after smell.

Exception: Do not do this with the full plastic lined lid on the Wexfords.
